Slavuta chicory drying plant is a part of Galca Group. The enterprise was founded in 1949 and in Soviet times it was one of the world's biggest chicory processors working for domestic and many foreign coffee and confectionery producers, milk processors etc. The enterprise processed up to 40 thousand tons of chicory roots per year. It had established the production system that includes control from sowings to final product and modification for special customers needs. Our plant was and still remains a base for research and improvement of drying, roasting and extraction methods for food universities and institutes.

In the last three years chicory production in Ukraine revives with the investments and new technologies. Chicory attracts old and new customers with:

  1. well documented prophylactic and medical emphasis of inulin, fructose, intybin and other its components on
  • minerals absorption,
  • blood-glucose levels and blood-cholesterol levels decrease,
  • preventing cardiovascular disease,
  • helpful to intestinal digestion and increasing stool bulk,
  • preventing or treat gastro-intestinal infections and bacterial translocation.
  1. less price, better technical conditions and no restrictions comparing with coffee, cocoa and other aromas and dyes;
  2. perfect range of coffee-caramel taste with water, milk and many other food applications.
